Why tile pricing is confusing
Search "tile price per square foot in India" and you'll find generic floor-tile guides quoting anywhere from ₹25 to ₹250 per sq ft. That's useful if you're retiling a bathroom floor — it's a different question if you're asking what it costs to get a specific design, printed to a specific wall, made as a mural or accent panel. That's a different product with a different pricing logic.
What actually drives the price
- Material — the base tile material (ceramic, porcelain) is one input; the UV printing process and finish add to that, not replace it.
- Size — a mural prices by total panel area (tile count × tile dimension), not a flat per-piece rate. A 2×3 accent wall and a 6×8 feature wall aren't the same job.
- Complexity — a single flat color prints differently than a high-detail photographic design or an intricate pattern; more colors and finer detail generally cost more to produce well.
- Finish — matte, gloss, and other finish options carry their own cost differences.
These four factors combine, which is why a single flat number for custom murals is misleading — two murals the same size can price differently based on material and complexity alone.
