Water bottle labels
Waterproof Labels & Stickers for Water Bottles
A cold bottle sweats, sits in ice and gets passed from hand to hand. Paper labels give up. staynish waterproof water bottle labels are printed on PET film, white or clear, so they stay intact where paper would not.
What makes a label waterproof
Three things work together: the material, the adhesive and the surface it sticks to. The material is the part you choose with us. White and clear PET film do not absorb water, so the label itself does not swell, tear or go soft.
The bottle matters too. A clean, dry surface at application gives the adhesive its best hold, which is covered in our guide.
White or clear PET film
On a clear label, white areas of your artwork need to be set up deliberately, because the film itself is transparent. If you are unsure, upload your artwork and we check it before printing.
- White waterproof PET film: an opaque white label with strong, solid colours, the safe default for chilled bottles
- Clear waterproof PET film: a transparent label that leaves the bottle visible, for a printed-on-the-bottle look
Where waterproof labels earn their place
- Chilled bottles in a fridge or display cooler
- Bottles in an ice bucket at an event
- Reusable bottles that are handled every day
- Hotel and restaurant water served cold
Which materials are not waterproof
Paper, kraft, gold and silver paper labels are not waterproof. They suit dry use, such as a gift bottle on a shelf, and look different from film. Choosing paper for a cold bottle is the most common reason a label fails.

Frequently asked questions
Are all staynish labels waterproof?
No. White and clear PET film labels are waterproof. Paper, kraft, gold and silver paper labels are not, so choose PET film for any bottle that will be cold or wet.
Will the label peel in a fridge or ice bucket?
PET film does not absorb water, so the label stays intact. How well it holds also depends on the bottle surface, which should be clean and dry when the label is applied.
Can I use a clear label on a clear bottle?
Yes. A clear PET film label gives a printed-on-the-bottle look. Set up white areas of your artwork deliberately, as the film is transparent.
Can I order waterproof labels in small quantities?
Yes. The configurator starts at 50 labels.
